President Asif Ali Zardari has greeted the government and the people of China on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
In his message the president said “it gives me great pleasure to extend to Your Excellency, the Government and the people of China most cordial greetings on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Communist Party of China.”
He said that China’s achievements were a source of pride and inspiration for Pakistan. He said that China’s continued success was a testimony to the commitment and vision of its leadership and the hard work and discipline of its people.
He said, “as friends and neighbours, we in Pakistan view this success as a positive force for peace and stability in the region and beyond.” He said that the Communist Party of China, with its around 80 million members, has played a key role in China’s development and progress.
He said that it has also made immense contributions towards promoting Pakistan-China friendship at various levels and in diverse fields. “We are grateful for these contributions”, he said.
He said that it was indeed a happy coincidence that the 90th anniversary of Communist Party of China and the 60th anniversary of establishment of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations were being celebrated this year. “The Pakistan Peoples Party takes pride in its historic linkages with China and the Communist Party of China. We remain committed to promoting partnership between Pakistan and China in a mutually beneficial manner’, he said.
He said “I avail myself this opportunity to convey to our friends, the assurance of our continued friendship and our deep and resolute commitment to further expand our collaboration and cooperation.”
