A Hindu priest, Kheto Bheel, who had been demanding sacrifice of underage daughters of a Hindu couple was arrested Thursday night by the Mirpurkhas police. District Police Officer Riaz Ahmad Soomro said that the Hindu priest had been harassing Sawai Bheel and his wife for sacrificing their daughters to please his goddess so that a male offspring could be born in the house. The priest would be produced before the court on Friday for remand, the officer added. It is pertinent to mention here that a case was registered against the priest and his assistant for demanding sacrifice of minor girls.
