Senior police officer Ghulam Haider Jamali, who had been awaiting posting, was appointed the Mirpurkhas zone Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police with immediate affect on Thursday. According to the Home department, Jamali will assume the charge from Friday. It may be recalled that the post of Mirpurkhas DIG police had been vacant for the past week after the transfer of Rasool Bux Sandh while Hyderabad DIG Police Sanaullah Abbasi was working as the additional in-charge on the post.
