Pakistan football team lost to Bangladesh 0-3 in the away leg of the World Cup Qualifier at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium on Wednesday.
Playing under heavy rain, Pakistan failed entirely under the conditions suitable to the Bangladesh players who are used to play in rain.
Hasan Ameli forward scored the opening goal in the very first minute of the match.
According to reports received here, the Bangladesh team played a much superior game as compare to their Pakistan counterparts. Pakistan failed to keep the ball in their control for the longer period of time.
Bangladesh’s Ameli received a long pass from his side of the goal and no one could stop him from scoring in the first minute of the match.
Similarly, in the 22nd minute of the game Zahid Hossain brought the second goal of the match for the Bangladesh as the Pakistan defence seemed helpless in checking the Bangladesh’s forwards. The 2-0 score remained till the whistle was blown for a breather.
The Pakistan team after going two goals down went into the defensive instead of attacking and the occasional attacks their forwards made, lacked commitment. Even in the defensive game, Bangladesh got yet another opportunity when Rezaul Karim hit in the target accurately in the 57th minute of the game and that 3-0 scoreline remained in tact till the final hooter. Now Pakistan have to get at least 4-0 win against them in their Lahore leg on July 3, to move into the next round of the qualifier to face Lebanon.
