According to the instructions of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), University of Education Registrar Bashir Ahmad Chaudhry on Wednesday announced that the Double Degree Programme based on masters and graduation level in science and arts would not be resumed from the academic year 2011. However, one year BEd and MEd Programmes would continue according to HEC’s policy.
He said the university would issue two separate degrees to students seeking admission in a double degree programme in Spring 2011 and Fall 2010 and degrees issued in sessions 2004-2005 and 2005-2006 would be considered as equivalent to 14-year BSc degree.
