Six people including three women received serious burns when two unidentified people entered their house in Manga Mandi police jurisdiction on Wednesday and threw acid on them. Police said two unidentified people stormed into the house of Javed, residing near Loharawala Khoh in Manga Mandi and threw acid on the house residents who were sleeping at the time of the incident. Resultantly, Ruhsana 40, Nasreen 22, Humera 20, Asif 17, Tabish 15, and Javed 45 received serious burns. Edhi ambulances shifted the victims to a nearby hospital where some of the injured were said to be in critical condition.
A victim, Nasreen Banu, talking to media at Jinah Hospital, said they had a clash with their neighbours over an electric supply meter a day before the incident. She alleged that her neighbours had taken revenge by throwing acid on them.
