At Cafe Flo in Karachi recently, the Unilever-Pakistan launched six new exotic flavours of Lipton flavoured teas in the presence of an interesting mix of media personalities, high achievers, glitterati from Pakistan’s fast-developing band of international music and fashion icons.
This new range of flavoured teas by Unilever’s Lipton promises to be fresh and invigorating and available consistently. Look out for your favorite flavour at a supermarket near you.
The guests on the occasion were treated to visuals from the new range of products as models dressed in avant-garde costumes and head gear depicting the flavours Forest Fruits, Camomile, Lemon, Rosehip Peach, Russian Earl Gray and English Breakfast spoke of how best to enjoy the new flavours. The elaborate costumes, designed by Pakistan School of Fashion Design (PFDC) graduates Mohsin Ali and Akife Mahmood, were bold, inspiring and brought out the essence of each new flavour.
These sensual and sophisticated blends of exotic teas will lead to a gustative journey to distant tea gardens where delicate bouquets of flowers, fruits and fragrances are born. Forest fruits add luscious pleasures of strawberry, cherry, blackberry, redcurrant and raspberry to your tea time and the aroma alone is enough to transport you to a fruit orchard.
Camomile is relaxing and sooths a tired mind at the end of a hectic day. The Lemon Tea cuppa gives you the warmth during the chill of winters and cools you down during the blaze of summer. The alluring Rosehip Peach Tea is for the moment when you need to elevate your mood and electrify your soul. Russian Earl Grey Tea is made from the exotic foods and spices of Central Asia – escape with a combo of Asian tea and fruit aroma. The Lemon Tea is a definite thirst quencher that can be enjoyed at any time of the day. Forest Fruits Tea is definitely a flavour that will soothe your taste buds. And finally the classic English Breakfast Tea becomes your timeless morning companion.
The delightful garden setting was the perfect backdrop for a high tea replete with scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream, finger sandwiches and petit fours. Guests were asked to narrate their key tea-relevant moments and stories from around the world and the general bonhomie added to the pleasures of unwinding amongst friends and colleagues in the middle of a workday afternoon.
Some traditions are just too precious to give up on completely. Ali Zafar, who has just begun his association with Lipton, mingled with guests and his friends including Adnan Malik, Feeha Jamshed, Umer Sayeed, Saba Ansari, Adnan Perdasi, Faizan Haq, Frieha Altaf, Tooba, Nida Azwer, Deepak Parwani, Sanam Chaudrey and many more. The emcee for the night was the beautiful and elegant, Ayesha Omar.
Lipton has long understood the natural gift of tea as pleasurable, invigorating and uplifting. The natural brew brightens your outlook and sharpens your mind. In short, it brings out the best in you. Lipton is on a mission to unlock the goodness of tea, inviting you to live better and drink positive.
“We at Unilever are proud to announce the launch of Lipton Flavoured Teas. We are absolutely dedicated to bringing out the best from our global range for consumers in Pakistan. From the moment our leaves are picked, to the time our tea is brewed, we go to extraordinary lengths to bring you a range of tea-based beverages full of natural goodness. For the first time, Pakistani consumers can now enjoy premium quality flavoured teas,” said Unilever-Pakistan Lipton Director Foods Fariyha Subhani.
