Three NATO tankers were attacked in separate incidents of targeted attacks in Bolan and Nowshera on Tuesday. Two NATO oil tankers came under armed attack in Mach area of Bolan district.
Mach Assistant Commissioner Qaim Khan Lashari said unidentified armed men opened indiscriminate fire on the NATO oil tankers that were carrying supplies for ISAF forces in Afghanistan. Resultantly, they tankers caught fire and were completely gutted. However, the drivers and cleaners escaped unhurt. Personnel of law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area soon after the incident and started investigation.
Meanwhile two people were injured when a NATO tanker was set n fire in Nowshera on Tuesday. Per details, a NATO oil tanker was blown up near Pubbi when it was parked along the GT Road. Two people were reported injured as the tanker caught fire after an explosion.
