The Lahore General Hospital (LGH) Administration on Tuesday selected 65 doctors against existing house officers’ vacancies. The recruitments have been made under the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) Rules, House Foundation Year 2010.
A total of 275 candidates were interviewed by the panel comprising LGH Post Graduate Medical Institute (PGMI) Principal Dr Tariq Salahud Din, LGH Medical Superintendent Dr Zafar Ikram and professors of various departments at LGH for final selection. The selected doctors will assume their responsibilities from July 1.
The LGH PGMI principal said the new house physicians and surgeons were selected purely on merit and qualification and they would be given stipend on monthly basis according to the government rules.
