Allama Iqbal Town (AIT) Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested a four-member inter-district gang involved in a number of bike-snatching and robbery incidents. AIT Police Superintendent (SP) Muntazir Mehdi said, on receiving information, he constituted a special team to arrest the gang members.
The police team raided the gang’s hideout and arrested four members namely Zahid Imran, Asif, Riaz and Javed Iqbal. The police seized three motorcycles, Rs 250,000 in cash and three pistols. The SP said police had registered seven cases against the gang. He ordered the police team to handover the bikes to their owners as soon as possible.
