Recently, I visited Jinnah International Airport, Karachi. I also went to the roof of the airport which is also known as visitors’ gallery. I paid 10 rupees to get the ticket for the roof but I was surprised to see that on the ticket price was written nine rupees. When I asked why one rupee was taken more than what was printed on the ticket, there was no suitable answer. After going through the lift to the roof, I saw that anyone could throw a bottle or any other thing from there and it would land on the runway. I also saw garbage dumped there.
I appeal to the Civil Aviation Authority and all other concerned departments to take notice of these issues and resolve them as soon as possible as this airport is an entry/exit point for thousands of people daily.
