Tourism activity will bring prosperity and strengthen cultural bonds between both sides Travel Agents Association of Kashmir (TAAK) has welcomed the joint statement issued by the foreign secretaries of India, Pakistan and Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah supporting the cross LoC trade.
TAAK President Rauf Tramboo while appreciating the dialogue between two sides said, “We feel it is high time to allow tour operators and travel agents of Jammu & Kashmir state to visit across the line of control to meet our counter parts to frame and chalk out programs with a single tour itinerary”..
TAAK has seen the developments as a positive step towards the peace which is essentially important for the tourism trade of our state. We can also make the short duration tour packages for the people living in both sides of Kashmir who want to travel in small groups of 04 Pax to 10 Pax in each group.
He demanded that tour operators of both the sides should be allowed to explore the potential and possibilities for the tourism exchange between the two parts of Kashmir.
He said, “Tourism exchange will not only strengthen the cultural ties and bonds but also economically help people of the both sides”.
