Three killed over old enmity

Three people, including a 60-year-old man and his 35-year-old son, were gunned down by six unidentified men over an old enmity and for following a murder case in Kot Kamboh Area located in the Nawankot Police Station precincts late on Sunday.
The three deceased were identified as Malik Ashraf, his son Malik Azhar and passerby Muhammad Hussain, residents of Kot Kamboh Area. According to details, Ashraf got involved in a dispute with Chaudhry Anwar and his sons over a minor issue a couple of years ago, which later turned into an enmity. On Sunday, Ashraf and his son Azhar were sitting at doorstep of their house, when six men on two motorcycles, equipped with sophisticated weapons, reached their house.
The shooters brought out their Kalashnikovs and opened indiscriminate firing at Ashraf and his son injuring both of them and local resident Muhammad Hussain. Ashraf and his son died on the spot while local residents rushed Hussain to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries as well.
Kite string kills boy: An 18-year-old boy was killed and another injured when kite string silt their throats at Bund Road in the Islampura Police Station precincts on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Jibran Hanif, a resident of Bakkar Mandi Area while the injured was identified as Zahid. According to hospital sources, Zahid ran a business at Bakkar Mandi.
On Sunday, he rented a motorcycle but requested the owner to send a bike rider as he could not run a bike on which the owner sent Jibran. Both of them were passing through Bund Road and when they reached Main Road Sandha, a kite string suddenly passed through and silted throats of both Jibran and Zahid.
After being injured, both of them fell from the motorcycle on which they were rushed to Mayo Hospital where Jibran succumbed to his injuries while Zahid was reported to be in a stable condition.
