Punjab won the fifth National Junior Bodybuilding Championship with 55 points, WAPDA secured second place with 42 points while FATA and Blochistan were jointly declared as third having 21 points each. The Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation organised the fifth edition of the bodybuilding on Sunday which coincided with the Olympic Day Celebrations on June 26 at Al Hamra Hall, Lahore. The Punjab team gave excellent performance during the Junior Championship and Muhammad Awais was declared the best junior bodybuilder.
Pakistan Tekwando Federation President Iftikhar Tabsum was the chief guest on the occasion and distributed the medals and trophies among the winners. Muhammad Jahangir, President Pakistan Karate Federation, Ch. Muhammad Asghar, Secretary Pakistan Wrestling Federation, Muhammad Khalid Mehmood, Director General, WAPDA Sports Board and Secretary General, Athletic Federation of Pakistan, Sh. Ismail President Punjab Bodybuilding Association, Ustad Shafi Muhammad, and Secretary General, Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation Sh. Farooq Iqbal were also present among the guests.
