Gas pressure in certain parts of the city remained low on Sunday creating problems for domestic users, sources told Pakistan Today. Electricity shutdowns also continued despite a pleasant change in the weather, they added. The sources said gas pressure went low because of the repair works at one of the main gas pipelines in Faisal Town. They said it had disturbed supplies to domestic and commercial users in Township, Faisal Town, areas along Peco Road, Johar Town and Wapda Town. Long queues of vehicles, usually observed on Sunday night, started forming at CNG stations as early as afternoon. A College Road CNG station manager, Sami Khan, said, “We are facing problems filing vehicles because of a low gas pressure in the main supply lines.” Meanwhile, power outages remained high in the city despite a pleasant change in weather and a low power-usage because of the weekly holiday. In some areas, an eight to 12-hour electricity closure was observed.
