Riaz Fatyana, PML-Q lawmaker, has levelled allegations of massive corruption against fellow party legislator and Minister for Housing and Public Works Makhdoom Faisal Saleh Hayat, besides filing a privilege motion against him in the National Assembly.
Fatyana also filed a defamation suit worth Rs 5 billion against Faisal, Ministry for Housing Joint Secretary MB Awan and a newspaper group.
Talking to reporters outside Parliament House, he accused Faisal of breaking “all records of corruption” soon after assuming the charge of the Housing Ministry.
“Faisal awarded a contract of Rs 11.2 million to one Fouzia in connection with decoration of his office without inverting a tender,” Fatyana said.
He alleged Faisal was taking bribes for transfers and postings in Planning and Works Department and vowed to expose the corrupt mafia.
Fatyana also took up the case of MB Awan in a PAC meeting, and the official has already been sacked over corruption charges.
