15 dead as militant groups clash in Orakzai

At least 15 militants from rival groups were killed after they clashed over control of a hide-out in Orakzai Agency on Saturday.
The gunfight between the pro-Taliban groups erupted late on Friday at Saiful Darra village and was still going on.
“The death toll has risen to 15 and eight other militants were injured in the gunfight,” local government official Zaman Khan Khattak told AFP.
A security official confirmed the gunfight and the death toll.
Orakzai is one of seven tribal agencies and a known militant stronghold where rebels sought refuge from a military operation in South Waziristan. Nearly 4,500 people have been killed across Pakistan in attacks blamed on Taliban and other extremist networks based in the Tribal Areas since government troops stormed a radical mosque in Islamabad in 2007.
