The ongoing tussle between the staff of passport section and Pakistan high Commission (HC) in London has badly affected the working of Pakistan mission in the UK, sources told Pakistan Today on Friday. Passport deputy director (DD) at the Pakistani High Commission in London, Faizul Hasan, a blue eyed of the passport DG, has refused to accept High Commissioner Wajid Shamsul Hasan as his boss and has directed his subordinates not to obey any order by him.
A source in the high commission told Pakistan Today that Wajid, who maintains regular contacts with the Pakistani Community across Britain, had asked Faizul Hasan to improve his behavior towards the Pakistani community in UK after receiving a large numbers of complaints of humiliation of UK-based Pakistanis at the hands of the passport section staff.
But Faiz has refused to follow any instruction from the high commissioner and conveyed a massage to Wajid that he (Faiz) had been appointed by the Ministry of Interior and he was only answerable to the interior minister.
