A tri-services training seminar titled ‘Threat and security challenges’ was organised at the Malir Garrison. Corps Commander Lt Gen Muhammad Zahirul Islam was the chief guest on the occasion.
The seminar was a part of a series of activities aimed at analysing the latest developments in the security sector and updating the officers about the current threat spectrum and other challenges. A panel of experts and senior officers from the intelligence agencies, the Pakistan Rangers-Sindh and the Sindh Police presented conceptual dynamics of threat with a view to devise short- and long-term measures.
In his concluding remarks, Lt Gen Islam thanked the panel members. He dilated upon the canvas of threat and its dynamics, and the absolute need for a joint and synergised response. A large number of officers from the armed forces, the Rangers and the police benefited from the training seminar.
