Traffic hazards in Karachi

Karachi has expanded without any planning since the creation of Pakistan which has naturally brought about many problems for the people of this mega city. Traffic hazards have also increased greatly.

The main problem of traffic hazards in Karachi is decrepit roads and poor infrastructure. Another problem is corrupt police and traffic mafia and increasing number of vehicles. One more problem which should be highlighted here is the reckless driving of bus drivers.Bus drivers usually drive very fast which causes accidents. They stop their buses anywhere without any stop to pick up passengers which creates problems for the vehicles coming from behind.

The transport mafia of Karachi managed to destroy the Karachi Circular Railway (KCR) back in 1960s and gained absolute hold over the transport system of the city.

The rickshaw drivers also do not care much about the traffic rules and have become a major reason of traffic jams and accidents.

A lot of drivers, motorcyclists in particular, do not care of traffic signals and traffic laws. They are always in a hurry and this haste also sometimes proves to be the cause of dangerous accidents. Traffic hazards have become common in Karachi and the concerned authorities should take strict and quick action to solve this problem for good.

  6. All the problems you mentioned above regarding traffic exist in all major cities of Pakistan. We have bad roads, no infrastructure, dishonest government and police officers, opportunistic public who does not care of others right. So in summary, corruption is everywhere and everything link to one and other. But anyway you mentioned traffic issue in very structural manner.

Traffic hazard in Karachi has always been a big problem. numerous government tried there best to manage traffic problems karachiiest faced. but due to a great number of vehicles entering on daily basis in Karachi actually has worsening the situation related to various dept of the government as well as corporate sector intensities .

Cuz of theses stupid street markets , the roads get congested big trucks and busses can't pass through it … then the situation seems in traffic jam … which results in waste of time for nothing .. which makes them to break the rules and laws of traffic in hurry .. and all regulations are messed up cuz of that !! so please try on to makes your stools on streets and on roads police should take step !
