Punjab clinched the Inter-Provincial Under-16 Girls Wushu Championship title after securing five gold medals on Thursday at Multan. Hibba Moazzam of the Punjab was declared the best player of the championship. Punjab produced a startling display to win five gold, two silver and one bronze medal while Balochistan took three gold, two silver and two bronze medals to take second position and Sindh managed third place with two silver and six bronze medals.
In the 42kg category, Surraya from Balochistan grabbed gold, Minaal of Punjab got silver whereas Maria from Sindh won bronze. In 44kg, Fatima from Punjab bagged gold, Zenab of Sindh silver and Summaya of Balochistan bronze. In 46kg, Hibba Moazzam of Punjab clinched gold, Shagufta of Balochistan took silver while Neha of Sindh attained bronze. Tayyaba of Balochistan lifted gold, Aisha of Sindh managed silver and Zara of Punjab grabbed bronze in the 48kg. In 50 kg, Mubasharra of Punjab scoped up gold, Zohra of Balochistan won silver while Raheela of Sindh ended up with bronze medal.
Director General Sports Jamshed Daudi was the chief guest and distributed the trophies and the gift hampers among the winners while the best player Hibba Moazzam was given the cash prize of Rs10,000 for her achievements.
