Two men gunned down a 30-year-old woman, Faiza Siddique, and her five-month-old daughter, Abeeha, over a domestic issue in Bhaikhay Wal
village in Iqbal Town police
precincts on Thursday.
Faiza’s husband, Muhammad Siddique, a Punjab University employee, had rented a house in Bhaikhay Wal village with his brother, Lateef. Both of the brothers were married and belonged from Mianwali. On Thursday, Siddique was at his house with his family when Lateef’s brother-in-law, Qaisar Abbas, and his accomplice, armed, barged into Siddique’s house. The two men fired shots at the family, injuring Faiza and Abeeha, and fled.
Siddique rushed Faiza and his daughter, Abeeha, to the hospital where they died. Police shifted the deceased’s bodies to the morgue for autopsy and registered a case against Qaisar Abbas and his accomplice on Siddique’s complaint.
Iqbal Town Police Station Station House Officer Qammar Abbas said that Faiza had a scuffle with Lateef’s wife, Shameem, a couple of days before the incident. He said that Shameem, after the scuffle, had shifted to her parent’s house. He said that Shameem’s brother had killed the two females. He
said the police would soon arrest the men involved.
