Federal Minister for Water and Power Syed Naveed Qamar said that the number of people consuming solar energy in the country had increased to 10 million. A few days back, it was reported that the number of households in Bangladesh using solar panels has crossed the one million mark — the fastest expansion of solar use in the world. In 2002, only 7000 households were using solar panels but now more than a million households or some five million people are using solar energy.
It is interesting that in electricity-starved Bangladesh, solar power is making a tangible effect as almost 60 percent of Bangladesh has no access to electricity. But in Pakistan, large numbers of people are using solar power as claimed by Federal Minister for Water and Power but it seems that it is not making any huge impact.

people like myself wants to invest in this technology and encourage others to for the sake of pakistan ,but I find that from past experience I am very reluctant to do this. The reason being you hit brick walls and corrupt people all the way what chance have we got to help our own people, if our government is lead by somebody who got his crown by default. It is the poor who care about pakistan the rich lnvest in other countries not our own beloved pakistan.Everything is wrong in Pakistan education, health, population need I go on?
