Anti-Doping Committee bans Anwar for 4 months

The Anti Doping Probe Committee imposed four-month ban on the national athlete Mohammad Anwar who tested dope positive in the recently-concluded 43rd National Athletics Championship. Col Qaiser Mustafa was the chairman and Syed Habib Shah and Dr. Masood Parvez were the members of the committee that met on Wednesday at Allama Iqbal Hostel, Pakistan Sports Board, Islamabad. The committee heard Mohammad Anwar’s version before giving final verdict. The Committee, after analysing all the aspects, reached a unanimous decision that the athlete was guilty of taking prohibited drugs and imposed a ban of four months on all national and international sporting events. He was also stripped off the medal he won at the 43rd National Athletic Championship. He claimed the medal in high jump event.
