The National Shotokan Karate Championship will be held on June 24 to 25 at Sahiwal. According to General Secretary Shamim Hashmi, the championship is being organised by the Pakistan Karate Federation in the collaboration with the World Shotokan Karate Federation Pakistan.
Teams from all over the country will participate in the championship. The championship will be held in the Individual Kumite having weight categories of 40kgs, 45kgs, 50kgs, 55kgs, 60kgs, and 67kgs and above 67kgs.
Contests will also be held in team kumite, individual kata and team kata. The federation has also named an organising committee with having Nabila Khan as chairperson while Muhammad Saeem is vice chairman, Haji Muhammad Ali (President), Tauqeer Hussain Taqi (Organising Secretary) and Munawar Ali is (Finance Secretary).
