J.K. Rowling has got every Harry Potter fan wondering just what the big announcement and secret of Pottermore is. The countdown on the site started with an owl perched on a tree. Since the countdown started, more and more owls have joined the wait along with the teaser “The owls are gathering…Find out why soon.”
As of right now, 20 owls are waiting on the countdown video. If you hover your mouse over them the shake their head and tails.
But what is it all going to add up to be? Our hopes for another Harry Potter book have already been dashed as sources confirmed it is not another book. But, could it be something even better?
We will finally get to know the official secret to Pottermore on Thursday 4 p.m PST. Until then theories are in high gear. First thoughts pegged the announcement to relate to e-books. Now, the idea that is growing the most is that Pottermore will actually be PotterM.O.R.E which will stand for Potter Multimedia Online Resource Encyclopedia.
The theory is that the site will be a fully interactive world for Harry Potter fans. It is thought to include forums, games, online chat rooms, stories and lots more…. basically an interactive social network in a Hogwarts setting.
Sounds plausible, but nothing is official yet.
