The 58th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister and PPP chairperson Shaheed Benazir Bhutto will be observed in a befitting manner on Tuesday at Naudero and Garhi Khuda Bux. The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has made special arrangements at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh Bhutto and the Naudero President House for celebrating the event and party leaders and workers from all over the country would assemble at the Garhi Khuda Bux to pay tributes to the brave leadership of Benazir. Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah along with the Sindh cabinet, federal ministers, MNAs, MPAs and central leaders of the PPP will visit the mausoleum of Bhutto family martyrs, and also donate blood as a sign of respect to her, for which camps have been set up at the site.
The celebrations would begin with recitation of verses from Quran at the graves of PPP founding chairman Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Benazir Bhutto, Mir Murtaza Bhutto and Mir Shahnawaz Bhutto, followed by laying flower wreaths and offering fateha. Wreaths will be laid on the Mazaar of Shuhada at 800 am, afterwards Quran khuwani will be held and collective prayers will be offered. Besides, devoted leaders, party workers and volunteers will donate blood in the camps established in front of the mausoleum and free food will be distributed among the people present on the occasion. Quran khuwani and prayers will also be held at the President House in Naudero, where a function will be held in the evening. Prominent scholars will pay homage to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto while a mushaira will be held in which prominent poets will participate. On the occasion, a 58-pound cake will also be cut.
