Law enforcers spend Sunday recovering nine bodies

Nine bodies, including two of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) activists, and a human skeleton were recovered from separate parts of the city, the police said on Sunday. Three bullet-riddled bodies were recovered from Ghas Mandi in Lyari, the Kalakot police said. Police said that the residents of the Old Haji Camp informed them about three suspicious gunny bags in the area. They said that they rushed to the spot and recovered three bodies from the gunny bags and shifted them to the Civil Hospital Karachi.
Only one of the bodies could be identified as MQM’s Shahid Abdullah, 26, who was kidnapped with his friend from Baldia Town. Later, the body of Abdullah’s friend was recovered from Kakri Ground in Kharadar. Police said that the body was identified as MQM’s Feroz Iqbal. Separately, a man’s body was recovered from Kati Pahari at the Northern Bypass, the Manghopir police said. Police said that the body was identified as Karim Bux Allahyar, 40, a resident of Lasbela. A case has been registered on the complaint of his son, the police added.
Another man’s body was recovered from Agra Taj Colony, the Kalri police said. Police said that Hussain Ahmed Ali, 45, was found dead in his cooking oil shop. They said that Ali was a resident of the same area, and that a case has been registered in this regard. Meanwhile, an unidentified body of a man in his 20’s was found near the Muhammadi Masjid, Bacha Khan Chowk in Banaras. The body was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and then shifted to the Edhi morgue. Another body of an unidentified man in his 40’s was recovered from Pehlwan Goth, the Gulistan-e-Jauhar police said. Police said that the body was rushed to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.
In another incident, a bandit’s body was found near the New Karachi bus stop, the New Karachi Industrial Area police said. Police said that the victim was identified as Muhammad Hussain alias Ahsan Manna. They said that Hussain was wanted by the police in cases of murder and bank robberies. In yet another incident, a two-month old human skeleton was recovered from Khajji Ground in Rizvia. Police said that the DNA of the skeleton has been extracted and sent for a laboratory test to ascertain its identity.
