Tehseen Anwar Shah has been appointed as the new director general of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Pakistan Today learnt reliably on Sunday. Tehseen, who was previously working as additional director general of the FIA, is a Grade-20 officer of the Police Group. He had been given additional charge as DG FIA after the removal of his predecessor Malik Iqbal on the orders of the Supreme Court. Iqbal had been charged with contempt of the court over the issue of transferring Additional DG FIA Zafar Qureshi, who was an investigation officer in the National Insurance Corporation Limited (NICL) scam.
