A magistrate was attacked with blades and knives, which were allegedly provided by police to men present in a civil court for the hearing of their case on Saturday in the Lower Mall Police Station precincts. According to details, Azam Shafiq, Waqas Amir, Rehman Akram and Muhammad Naeem were presented in a civil court. Eyewitnesses claimed that both parties started cursing Magistrate Malik Kaleem Awan and attacked him afterwards. The magistrate, saving his life, fled to his room located right behind the courtroom after which the attackers were arrested and taken into custody.
