Grieved by strict jurisdiction towards fathers, a group of non-custodial parents from My Foundation gathered at the Liberty Roundabout on Sunday to mark Father’s Day without their children. The men told reporters that they were unfortunate since they were unable to share their love and affection with their children because of the Guardian Court’s harsh laws. “We all wanted to spend this day with our children and for this some of us even submitted applications to the Guardian Court seeking permission to meet them,” said a father, who had not seen his children in a long time. The court denied permission, he added. “We are trying to make the public aware of the discrimination we are facing in the courts because we want to meet our children and provide them with emotional support even if they do not live with us. But when it comes to sharing our love, we are mistrusted and ignored by the courts,” said another father.
