An open court organised by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was disturbed by chaos and rumpus on Friday after citizens criticised PML-N parliamentarians and officials of different government departments.
The open court was held at Allama Iqbal Town by PML-N Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Umar Sohail Zia Butt (NA-126) and PML-N Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) Ijaz Ahmed Khan (PP-151).
The court was held on directions of Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif to solve the problems of people belonging to the above-mentioned constituencies.
Mayhem was seen when complainants said that government officials never bothered to implement orders issued in open courts and kept delaying the issues, forcing people to run from one pillar to another. A brawl was also seen on interruption of PML-N workers. Umar told Pakistan Today that it was not a serious matter.
“In a big public gathering, when the weather is hot and the sun sizzles, a minor rumpus is not a matter to be worried about,” he said adding that the issue was resolved amicably.
