The Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) has lodged protest against the seeding of forthcoming Asian Individual Junior Squash Championship which will begin from June 21 in Jordan. An official of PSF told this scribe on Thursday that Pakistani players Nasir Iqbal and Danish Atlas Khan would meet in the semi-final if they win their matches.
“The tournament seeding is not according to Professionals’ Squash Association (PSA) rules,” he said. “The PSF wrote a letter to secretary ASF and pointed out the issue and requested ASF to revisit the seeding of regional international squash event. If they follow the rules of the PSA, then both Pakistan players may set their clash in the final,” he said. Answering a question he said that Pakistan had bright chances of winning the title.
“Nasir Iqbal and Danish Atlas, who will compete in Under-19 discipline, are in good form and have abilities to lift the title. Green shirts are going with full preparation,” he maintained.
