Journalist injured in Peshawar market bombing dies

The death toll from the tragic Peshawar’s Khyber Super Market bombing of June 11 rose to 42 when a young journalist Shafi Ullah breathed his last at a hospital during the wee hours of Friday morning.
Shafi Ullah, who hailed from North Waziristan, was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard. His funeral prayers were held at Miranshah where a large number of people had gathered to pay him respect.
Shafi Ullah, 28, had recently completed Masters in Mass Communication from Gomal University of Dera Ismail Khan and was working as a trainee reporter for the Peshawar bureau of an English daily
He along with his friends was present at Khyber Super Market on June 11 last when the bombing occurred. He was at first admitted into a Peshawar hospital but was later moved to Burn Unit in a Wah hospital; where he died.
