Hoti announces Rs 1.67b special package for Malakand Division

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ameer Haidar Hoti has approved special development package worth Rs 1.67 billion other than Annual Developmental Programme for the reconstruction and development of terrorism and flood-affected infrastructure in Malakand Division.
“The entire construction schemes of the projects will be completed under the supervision of Provincial Rehabilitation And Reconstruction Authority.
,” the chief minister remarked while chairing a high-level meeting. According to details, funds of the package will be utilised for reconstruction and rehabilitation of roads, civil channels, drinking water, agriculture and construction of the schools destroyed by terrorism and floods in other districts besides Malakand. Rs 590 million have been allocated for roads, Rs 260 million for civil channels, Rs 140 million for clean drinking water and Rs 200 million for agriculture sector. Moreover, Rs 220 million will be utilised for terrorism-affected schools in other districts, particularly.
The chief minister said funds for all schemes in the package would be provided next month and practical work on them would commence in July/August. He directed PARSA and the department concerned to ensure implementation on this multi-purposes development package for Malakand Division, adding he himself would monitor the work.
Under the special package construction of roads from Mangalwar to Malamjaba, Kalil Kandao Road, Lalqala to Shahdas, Rohan Hayagai Road, Ghorghastu Dandar Section, Sasobay Kormang, Engaro Dheri, Shaheenabad to Shahgai, Chingalai and Dagar Chowk to Dagar village and others are included in the schemes. As regards irrigation, civil channels include Asala, Angrezai, Ashari, Bagh Dheri, Barth khela, Loyawala, Parrai, Manyar, Shah Dheri, Totano Banda, Dew Lai, Nusrat, Mainz, Loyawala Shamozai and Ningolai.
Hisar, Sabeel Banda, Ghat Koto, Bosaq, Sangeena Kandako, Lower, Tokamaira, Kangalai, Bagha, Mainbanda and Surbat are included in clean drinking water schemes.
Rconstruction of affected schools in Tank, Kohat, Hangu and Bannu are also included in the package.
