Another six killed as Karachi violence rages

Despite the tall claims by provincial government, targeted killings continued in Karachi on Thursday, as six more people were gunned across the city in incidents of violence. The latest killings have raised the death toll in the last four days to 38. Per details, unidentified men set a storage house on fire and killed the guard in the jurisdiction of Preedy police station.
Zaheer Shah was guarding the premises when the attackers sprayed him with bullets. Preedy police said unidentified men also attacked a fire station in Saddar Town, injuring two people, Muhammad Hussain and Ali Manzil. The attackers also broke into and looted three shops. In Napear police precincts, unidentified gunmen tortured a young man to death and doomed his body near Jameela Street, Godam Compound. Police said the identity of the deceased could not be ascertained.
Baghdadi police said unidentified armed men opened fire on 30-year-old Imran near Niazi Chowk at Shah Waliullah Road, killing him on the spot. Another man, Pervez, was killed by unidentified men in the jurisdiction of Shahr-e-Noor Jahan police station. The deceased was resident of block-S, North Nazimabad.
Separately. Armed assailants sprayed a man with bullets near Malkani Hospital. Salman Dada (28) was said to be an activist of Ghafar Zakri, a gangster of Lyari, and was resident of Nayabad, Lyari.
