The police on Thursday lodged two separate but identical FIRs against Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and some PML-N workers for tearing down banners calling on Nisar to respond to corruption allegations leveled against him by a local newspaper owned by property tycoon Malik Riaz.
The complainants said the PML-N workers had torn down the banners displayed at Koral Chowk at Nisar’s behest, andsubmitted an application with Koral Police for registration of an FIR. Meanwhile, police also registered a separate FIR against Nisar and PML-N workers for throwing stones at the policemen who tried to stop them from tearing down the banners.
