Parents love their children no matter what. They have selfless and infinite love for their children. The same selflessness is rare in any other relation. If a relation has respect, understanding and trust, it never fails. While in blood relations it is necessary to compromise to get along.
Interpersonal relationships have some stages to develop, like to get to know each other first, and then differences are realised and respected of each other. After that compromises are made by both or by one, only then an understanding is created between the two people.
But if there is lack of understanding, no respect for differences, expectations not fulfilled and no compromises, then relationships fail. It is said that only your blood relations could feel your pain, not others. Every relation has its own charm: a friend cannot be a parent, a parent cannot be a friend. Relations are irreplaceable. Usually you cannot expect a friend to be same like a sister or a sister to be same like your friend, as they have their own place in your life and they could not be replaced.
