Top seed Jalil Khan managed to overcome late resistance by his brother Yasir Khan in the final to claim the inaugural title of the NBP Open Ranking Tennis Championship that concluded at the Modern Club Karachi. Jalil Khan, Pakistan No. 2 while playing at the cemented hard courts of the Modern Club, convincingly defeated Yasir Khan (Pakistan No. 3) in the men’s singles final in straight sets by 6-3, 7-6. he also got Rs. 25000 as winner’s prize money. The event which was sponsored by National Bank of Pakistan and organised by the Sindh Tennis Association in collaboration with Council of Tennis Players, have Shoaib Siddiqui, Secretary Sports Sindh was the chief guest at the closing ceremony. Sara Ahmed after going one set down to Maheen Dada won the ladies singles title.

Boys under-15 singles: Ibrahim Iltifat beat Saud Shoaib 6-2, 6-3.Boys under-13 singles: Hasan Farooq beat Dawar Rehan 7-5, 6-2. Boys under-11 singles: Bilal Imran beat Houd azher 8-7.
Seniors 35 plus Doubles: Rafi derbar & Ejaz sarhadi beat Azharuddin & Hanif 7-6, 6-2.
