The team representing Pakistan at the “Special Olympics World Summer Games 2011” will depart for Athens, Greece on June 20, 2011. The Pakistani contingent of special athletes consists of 90 participants, hailing from all across the country. Etihad Airways, national airline of the United Arab Emirates, will be the exclusive official carrier for the Pakistan Special Olympics team participating in this year’s event. Over 7,500 Special Olympics athletes from 185 nations will compete in 22 Olympic sporting events from June 25 – July 9 at the Games.
