The Lahore High Court (LHC) adjourned the hearing of a petition seeking registration of a case against former president Pervez Musharraf on charges of treason, and issuance of red warrant for his extradition through Interpol to initiate sedition proceedings against him under article 6 of the constitution, for indefinite period on Wednesday. Justice Azmat Saeed, in an earlier proceeding, had sought reply from the federal government on the petition however the federation did not reply despite several notices and reminders. The petition was filed by Ilam uddin Ghazi through his counsel AK Dogar. Another identical petition filed by Aziz Ahmed Awan against Musharraf is also pending in the LHC before the same judge.
