Fake police shootouts will not be tolerated in any case and policemen, who are found involved in taking innocent lives, will face full might of the law, Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ahmed Raza Tahir said on Tuesday.
He was talking to citizens belonging to various walks of life at the Capital City Police Headquarters.
An erroneous impression should not be created, due to any individual or collective action by police, that the department is anti-people but a powerful impression should be created that police are always ready to sacrifice their lives to ensure protection of life and property of the masses, the CCPO added.
He urged all segments of society to extend their full cooperation and solidarity with law enforcement agencies in order to bring law and order in the city under control.
