The Holy Prophet (PBUH) had standing orders for Muslim soldiers not to attack unless you are attacked, and not to attack those who surrender. “Do not kill those who are unarmed. Do not kill women or children, the elderly or wounded. Do not kill doctors or nurses, rescuers or helpers on the enemy side.
Do not break into a house unless the keepers allow you or they are forewarned under the law. Do not damage crops. Do not commandeer places of public use. Do not occupy, damage or misuse hospitals, schools, places of worship and learning, libraries or laboratories”.
Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (RA) ordered the Muslim soldiers: Do not kill women or children or an aged, infirm person. Do not cut down fruit-bearing trees. Do not destroy an inhabited place. Do not slaughter sheep or camels except those bought for food.
Do not burn bees and do not scatter them. Do not steal from the booty and do not be cowardly. Question: Who are these Taliban? Are the Taliban really Muslim soldiers? Are they really Muslim? Aren’t they using the name of Islam to undermine and mutilate Islam? Who are they?
