Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan is playing in the hands of foreign intelligence agencies against the interests of the country while Afghan Taliban are not involved in any kind of terrorism inside Pakistan, said Asif Fasihuddin Wardag, central president, Tehrik-e-Istiqlal. He expressed these views while addressing a press conference at Lahore Press Club on Monday. He said countering terrorism with force would increase terror while political dialogue and development programmes in the far-flung tribal and settled areas would be the most appropriate option to end extremism. Asif said, “We can still persuade our brethren in tribal areas for peaceful dialogue, as military operation will shed the blood of Pakistanis on both the sides whereas taking up development programmes in the areas on immediate basis would prove as the first confidence-building measure.”
