At least four people were killed and 10 others injured in separate gun attacks in Qasba Colony and Aligarh bazaar in Karachi on Monday.
Tension and fear gripped the locality after the killing. All small and main markets were immediately closed down.
Rangers and police reached the troubled area to contain the violence.
The reasons for the firing could not be ascertained yet.
The dead and injured were shifted to Qatar and Abbasi Shaheed hospitals for medico-legal formalities.
Gunshots are still being heard in the locality.
