Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) while rejecting the military operation in North Waziristan has said that the area is a symbol of peace, establishment of writ of the government and all its functionaries are working smoothly.
This was stated by JUI leaders at meet the press programme here at Miran Shah Press on Sunday.
Those who participated were JUI North Waziristan Secretary General Ahmed Saeed, Kanwar Farhad Ali, Secretary inforamtion Maulvi Daud Muhammad, Maulana Lal Gul Amir Sheva, Salar Hafiz Maulvi Naheemullah Khan, Fadha Muhammad, Khan Dawar and Noor Madad Khan Darpakhel.
Answering to the question, Ahmed Saeed said that the Western media and the enemies are making false propaganda against North Waziristan. He said we reject such baseless propaganda. He said there is complete normalcy in the area and there was no reason for imposing military operation.
Ahmed Saeed said that billions of rupees are being spent on the development schemes and the government functionaries are working effectively. He said the area is a an example of peace and there is a complete harmony between the people and the government officials.
The JUI (F) leaders demanded of the government to immediately pay compensation to the affectees of the military operation and the flood.
While taking notice of the closures of the post offices, they also demanded for their restoration. They said that all branches of National and other Banks and Passport Offices must be opened in Mir Ali.
They also demanded appropriate change of timings of check posts at Bannu-Miran Shah road.
