The Awami National Party (ANP)-Sindh on Saturday decided to end its boycott of ongoing budget sessions of Senate, National and Sindh Assembly and the party members will participate in the sessions, starting from Monday. ANP-Sindh spokesman Qadir Khan told Pakistan Today that after successful negotiations between the central leadership of ANP and PPP, the ANP decided to end the boycott of budget sessions.
“Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah, Rehman Malik and Qaim Ali Shah have assured the party leadership that its reservations will be resolved.” It has also been decided that a committee will be formed to look into the issues of ANP and keep in contact with both parties on every issue and time. “The elected members of ANP-Sindh will participate in the budget discussion session of Sindh Assembly on Monday,” said Qadir.
It is worth noting that the ANP-Sindh had expressed its reservations on the registration of FIRs against its workers; party’s ward office shutdown and targeted killings of its activists.
