Strike was observed on Saturday in different parts of Balochistan against non-allocation of funds for the power transmission line from Dera Ismail (DI) Khan to Zhob.
The strike was called by the Pashtunkhwa Awami Party (PAP).
Many cities including Quetta, Zhob, Kachlaak, Pasheen, Chaman and Loralai observed the strike.
In Quetta, there was less traffic on roads and less attendance was observed in schools and offices.
Incidents of tyre burning were reported in some areas whereas some vehicles were also damaged. Police has arrested eight persons for being involved in such crimes.
