Country’s sovereignty

After the US SEAL’s operation to kill Osama followed by the Parliament’s resolution (which is still lying to die a natural death), the Nawaz League has started an offensive against their own armed forces. Even a known MNA used some abusive language in the parliament which was expunged by the PM.

There appears to be some kind of desparation in the N-League. After having been termed as a “friendly opposition” for the first three years, which has damaged their reputation tremendously, now they have opened a front against the army. This is a very sad state of affairs. This new attitude is probably going to put the last nail in the coffin.

Understandably, Nawaz Sharif was ousted as the PM illegally by General Musharaf. He could have taken up this ouster with the Supreme Court for redressal and/or to get the ex-Army dictator tried under treason laws. With an independent judiciary, he had a fair chance to win the case. But, he did not do so till today.

Who is going to get the foreign powers to obey our integrity and follow the international norms? Not in the near future the present rulers or their friendly opposition who are waiting for their turn.

Only God knows what’s going to happen after two years. With the present attitude, I am afraid that they (N-League) may not get the coveted chance. Is there any outside chance for Imran Khan to try his luck in the coming elections?
