Seven people were gunned down in separate parts of the metropolis on Thursday, Pakistan Today has learnt. The Sachal Goth police said that two men were shot by unidentified suspects at the Sumaira Apartments in the wee hours. Police said that the victims were identified as Ahmed Shah, 25, and Khalil Ahmed, 22. They were being taken to the Patel Hospital, but they succumbed to their injuries on the way there, the law enforcers added.
They said that the bodies were shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) and later handed over to the heirs. The victims might have been killed over personal enmity, they added. Separately, two men were shot dead and another injured in a clash between two Baloch groups near Garm Chashma, the Manghopir police said. Police said that the groups collided with each other near the KMC Hospital. Qadir Bux Sheedi and others opened fire on their armless opponents Abdul Wahid, Asif and Naeem, the law enforcers added. They said that Wahid and Asif were killed on the spot, whereas Naeem sustained injuries. The deceased and the injured were shifted to ASH, they added.
In another incident, a young man was shot outside his house by unidentified suspects, the Mauripur police said. Police said that Zohaib Muhammad Hassan, 20, was standing outside his house when he was sprayed with bullets. The victim was shifted to the Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) where he succumbed to his injuries, the law enforcers added. They said that the body of the deceased was later handed over to the heirs. The victim might have been killed over personal enmity, they added. In yet another incident, two young men’s tortured and bullet-riddled bodies were recovered from separate parts of Lyari, the Kalri police said.
Police said that unidentified suspects dumped the two corpses in Nayaabad and at Niazi Chowk each. The hitherto unidentified victims do not appear to be over 22 years old, the law enforcers added.
They said that the murderers had cut the victims’ ears and noses, gouged out their eyes, slit their throats and shot them dead. The bodies were taken to the CHK from where they were shifted to the Edhi morgue, they added.
